Am I able to try on clothes in the store?
Yes! quad has multiple dressing rooms to make sure your rental fits to your liking.
What happens if I want my clothing back?
If you are a lender with us and you want any of your clothing back, simply stop by during store hours and pick it up, no questions asked! If it is currently rented, we will let you know when it will be back in store for pickup.
Do I have to stop selling on my social media?
Absolutely not! We actually encourage you to continue selling on Instagram, GroupMe, or other social media platforms.
We are essentially the software and personnel that enable you to rent out your closet without all the manual labor. You should still market your items and keep your Instagram closet presence, though, to see better sales! All items will just be managed and linked through the quad software.
Rental & Selling Process
What types of clothing do you accept?
In our fight against fast fashion, we encourage the purchase and reuse of sustainable clothing.
We're working to make a difference in the environment by giving women another option to buy high-end clothing, knowing they have a safe and easy place to sell or rent after it has been worn.
Brands we will not accept:
- Forever 21
- Shein
- Uniqlo
- H&M
- Boohoo
- Pretty Little Thing
- Urban Outfitters
- Fashion Nova
We will also consider high-end, "like new" shoes and accessories.
We reserve the right to turn away any other clothing that is not high quality, has been damaged, or clearly heavily used.
How many days can I rent a piece of clothing?
All rental returns are due back at the store the next Monday!
There's a $15 late fee after the first day late, and $5 extra for every day following. For example, if you dropped a dress off on Thursday, February 5 but though you rented it on Thursday, January 29 and it was due back Monday, February 2, then you would pay $30 in late fees (Monday $15, Tuesday +$5, Wednesday +$5, Thursday +$5 = $45).
Our late fees are steep because we have a rigorous turnaround protocol to get clothes dry cleaned and back on racks.
Do I have to return a rental item dry cleaned?
Nope! Don't worry about that. We have relationships with trusted local dry cleaners and manage the cleaning of every item after each rental, making sure it's up to our standards for its next adventure.
How do I know my clothes are safe at quad?
We prioritize the safety and security of your items. We guarantee that any renter will be held responsible for the cost of an item in the event of damage or non-return.
Rest assured that all items are securely stored in-house at our designated and protected location. Our commitment to providing a safe environment ensures that your clothes are in good hands throughout the selling process. Your trust and the safety of your belongings are of utmost importance to us.
We will assign a personal assistant to our lenders moving forward so that you have a trusted source who knows the ins and outs of your closet and where each item is at any moment.
Payments & Fees
What are the fees for using quad?
Our fees are simple, straightforward, and lender-friendly.
No subscription fees, ever.
You keep 80% of each rental. If you have a dress that you rent out for $100, you will keep $80. We only keep 20% of each transaction, which is just enough to pay our workers fairly and cover the costs of managing logistics and dry cleaning.
Once your rental has been delivered and received by your buyer, the earnings from your sale are yours, and will be processed on Thursdays!
Do you charge for late returns?
Yes, we charge late fees.
There's a $15 late fee after the first day late (starting Monday 5:01 PM), and $5 extra for every day following. For example, if you dropped a dress off on Thursday, February 5 but though you rented it on Thursday, January 29 and it was due back Monday, February 2, then you would pay $30 in late fees (Monday $15, Tuesday +$5, Wednesday +$5, Thursday +$5 = $30).
Our late fees are steep because we have a rigorous turnaround protocol to get clothes dry cleaned and back on racks. If you do not return a piece on time, then it is impacting the next girl's rental. We want everyone to be able to wear what they've paid for!
Please note that return timing and late fees are different for shipments, though.
What kinds of payment methods does quad accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cash, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other popular payment types!
